Finals Week!

Hey guys! It’s finals week!!!

I have it pretty easy considering. I only have one exam final tomorrow at 3:10 and then a final research paper due Wednesday night. I’m already half way done with my paper, and since my science final tomorrow isn’t till the afternoon, I’m staying up later right now to study. 

New favorite Pandora station to study to=Summer Hits of the 90s. It’s glorious.

Also, fun stuff. My history paper is on the historical roots of prostitution (way more fun, even though it might be more difficult than some of the other topics people in my class picked, like global warming, hunting, etc. BORING. I’m a sex fiend, I find this stuff so interesting haha). I went to library yesterday and got 7 books on prostitution. One of my favorite titles is “The Industrial Vagina: The Political Economy of the Global Sex Trade.” Then I was reading one called “Prostitutes and Courtesans in the Ancient World” and it talked about how an ancient Babylonian custom was that every native woman had to sit in the temple of Aphrodite, once in her life, and have sex with a male stranger…da fuck? How messed up is that? Crazy stuff.

So I’m basically done once I finish my paper (which will hopefully be tomorrow night). Then I’m packing up all my stuff, and spending the rest of the week with HB. He has finals on Wednesday and Friday, but I won’t see him for over a month, so I decided to stay till Friday so I could be with him a little bit longer. It’s not like I have anything really to go back to at home. My parents can wait a few more days. I’ll probably be sitting on my couch all summer since I haven’t heard back form jobs yet. I’m going to be looking around everywhere in town when I get home for a job. I NEED ONE SO BAD. I want money and need something to do this summer. I’ll be so bored. Especially since HB will be at summer session here at school for half the summer. 

But I’m planning on driving back to campus for HB’s birthday next month, so that’ll be nice. Plus, my best friend is getting back from her year long adventure in Germany 2 weeks before HB’s 20th birthday, so I’ll get to see her. I’m so excited. I haven’t seen her in about 10 months.

Gahhh I hope everyone is doing well, especially if finals are approaching. I love getting messages from y’all <3

Tonight was the last chapter meeting of the semester!
 

But…
this week is super busy, and I have a grammar test that’s required to certify in my major tomorrow at 7:45 IN THE MORNING.
 

(haven’t had class that early since high school)
And I have to take an English placement exam on Wednesday night. Then have a meeting at 9:30 AT NIGHT that same night, AND MY SIGN LANGUAGE FINAL IS THE NEXT DAY.

I wish I had more interesting things to blog about haha I’m a little worried that if I post too much, people I know will “find” me on tumblr and that would be pretty embarrassing.

Anonymous asked: I've been on the pill for years and never had any problems! I love it. It really depends on what type you get, some have higher hormones than others I believe. Talk to your doctor.

I’m definitely planning on it :) Only 3 more weeks of school and then finals. Too bad I won’t even seen my boyfriend for a month after that haha 

Anonymous asked: I've been on the Pill for about four months now. The first month or so my acne REALLY flared up, just with the hormone adjustment and all. I accidentally missed a couple of pills at the end (I'm not sexually active so not a problem, but you would definitely NOT want to do that), so my acne is really acting up yet again. I was also extra moody for a while, but those are my only side affects.

I’m a little/A LOT worried about that aspect because my skin is really annoying and hasn’t been clear in years (even after many trips to the derm). I want to go on the pill because I’m in college and it’s a good option for me at this point but I don’t want it to fuck with me haha.

Cool. Gahh so many options haha did you get them originally through your own doctor or Planned Parenthood?

Anonymous asked: I've changed pills a couple of times but I've never had any side effects from any of them. It really depends on the person and I don't think they are anything major. It is totally worth it.

What made you change pills?

Anonymous asked: Hey! I don't know what questions you have about the pill but I am on it and have been for 3 years. I always remember to take it the same time every day which decreases your chances of getting pregnant (from what I've heard) as opposed to taking it at different times of the day. Definitely look into it because being on the pill and using condoms really causes me very little worry if any.

Thanks! I really want to look into it, but I’m worried about side effects and how the different hormones will effect me until I get used to it. I’ve heard that it can take some people a long time to find the pill that’s right for them :/

OH!

I forgot to mention that I finally got a roommate for next semester! I’m rooming with my sis named “Ha.” 

And formal is this weekend, so HB and I are doing all that stuff on Saturday. I was never one for dances in high school—-mostly because I never got asked to them before. But I finally have a boyfriend, so I figured I’d dress up, go for a bit, and then go back and chill with HB at his fraternity.

Also, I just got back from getting my first spray tan ever. Some sisters and I went to get them for formal. It was a special deal, $10 tan after 10pm. I was freaking out, but I’m excited to wake up tomorrow and be tan. I’m as white as Wonder Bread and when I’m out in the sun, I just burn. Never. Tan. 

I was too nervous to tell HB that I went to get a spray tan. I didn’t want him to give me a hard time about it haha. The first time he ever saw me, I was making out with a 25 year old guy from the theater group we’re a part of. Not the greatest first impression, and HB keeps giving me a super hard time about it. It’s kind of embarrassing. He just like to goof on me. But I love that guy with my whole heart muscle.
